Corruption investigations in the European Parliament: Parliamentarians draw first conclusions
The bribery scandal in the European Parliament (EP) threatens to undermine citizens' trust in the European institutions. The European Parliament wants to draw first consequences to better prevent corruption. It is crucial that the Parliament tackles the causes. There must be no false solutions that prevent open and transparent dialogue between Parliament and stakeholders.
Open Source Software strategisch nutzen
Die Ampelkoalition fördert richtigerweise den Einsatz von Open Source Software (OSS) im Rahmen des Bundeshaushalts für 2022 und 2023. Gleichwohl gilt: Open Source-Anwendungen und proprietäre Lösungen sollten jeweils situativ zum Einsatz kommen, da beide Ansätze Vor- und Nachteile mit sich bringen. Der BDI adressiert in seinem aktuellen Papier zu OSS zahlreiche Fehlannahmen hinsichtlich Kosten, Sicherheit und Transparenz von OSS und möchte damit zu einer nuancierteren Debatte beitragen.
